Land reform

In the course of land reform 72.4% of agricultural land is transferred in private ownership, including 80.9% of arable land for targeted use - agricultural production. The title in the land share is acquired by 6.9 million people; out of them 6.8 million (98.6 percent) people received State Certificates for the land share title as of January 01, 2011.

6.7 million State Acts for the title in the land plot were drawn up and issued in exchange of certificates; this constitutes 98.2 percent of citizens who received certificates. In 2010 the land share owners concluded more than 4 million land lease agreements for the land share. During 2010 in line with the land lease agreements the amount of land rental payment was increased and the land share owners received over 5.5 billion UAH.
